Try Dave and Aletha's Banana Bread Cake! It's different, you'll like
it! Your friends and family will like it! It's really that good! Okay, okay,

New Italian Recipe's
Banana Bread Cake
Ingredients Cake:
2/3 cup butter
2/3 cup buttermilk
2-½ cups flour
1-2/3 cups granulated sugar
1-¼ tsp baking powder
1 tsp salt
1 tsp baking soda
1-¼ cup mashed ripe bananas
2 eggs
2/3 cup chopped pecans or walnuts
Ingredients Coconut Topping:
1-½ cups packed dark brown sugar
2/3 cup butter
2 T milk
2 cups flaked coconut
2/3 cup chopped pecans or walnuts
Preparation:

Preheat oven
to 350 degrees F. Grease and flour a 9 x 13-inch cake pan.

Cream butter.
Add dry ingredients, bananas and buttermilk. Mix slightly. Add eggs and
beat at medium speed for 3 minutes. Stir in nuts. Pour into prepared pan.
Bake for about 35 minutes or until very well browned and toothpick
inserted in center comes out clean. Cool.

Place oven
rack 4 to 5 inches from broiler. Set oven to broil.

Mix butter,
sugar and milk in a medium saucepan over medium heat, stirring until
butter melts. Add coconut and nuts.

Pour and
spread over cooled cake. Place under broiler and broil for 2 to 3 minutes
or just until coconut begins to brown. Cool before serving.
